About the role

McAuley Community Services for Women, a ministry of the Institute of Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea. We are committed to advocating for a better, safer and just society, through working with women and their children affected by family violence, mental illness or homelessness.

We have an opportunity for a volunteer hairdresser. The position is for 3 to 4 hours per month at McAuley House.

Ideally applicants will be able to demonstrate:
 A minimum of 2 years experience in hairdressing
 Ability to attend reliably
 Ability to perform routine hairdressing, ie cuts, colours, in a home environment
 Knowledge of homelessness, family violence and mental health issues and how these impact on women
 Superior interpersonal and communication skills.

A National Police check and a Working with Children Check are required prior to commencement.
