Our Client, WorldShare has been supporting local Christian Partners reaching out to the needs of the poor and disadvantaged in Developing countries for over 60 years. Today they are doing amazing work throughout Asia and Africa empowering local ministry partners in their vision to bring ongoing spiritual, physical and social transformation into those developing regions.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer will give sound leadership and direction towards the achievement of the organisation’s mission, strategy and objectives.  The CEO will oversee a team of 10 people in Sydney and Melbourne and will be responsible for the sustainability and ongoing growth and development of the organization and be accountable for all aspects of operational management.  With a balance of strategic and hands on operational skills, you will be responsible for the budget, and accountable for program and service delivery, fundraising, HR, risk management and public speaking.

The successful candidate will be a mature Christian with a proven track record of success in senior leadership roles where you have built, led and nurtured highly effective and co-operative teams. We are looking for a servant- leader who is strongly aligned to the values of this dynamic mission- based organisation, who has the ability to inspire and influence others, to build excellent relationships with key stakeholders, including both major donors, church leaders and local Christian partners. You will possess integrity, excellent leadership skills, be highly organized, have sound business and financial acumen, be tertiary qualified and have the ability to engage people in the work of WorldShare.

Your knowledge and understanding of Missions and International Development in particular will be important for this role as will be your passion to help the poor holistically.
