About the role
Solid Ground is a major Aboriginal Arts initiative established in 2015 by Carriageworks and Blacktown Arts Centre that provides education and training pathways for Aboriginal young people into the arts and cultural industries. Solid Ground also supports the commissioning of new urban Aboriginal work across contemporary theatre, dance, visual arts and music that provide significant opportunities for young Aboriginal people to gain professional industry experience combined with on the job training.
The Education and Training Manager will oversee the delivery of the Solid Ground initiative including the Artists in Schools Residency Program, the Tertiary and Skills-Based Arts Training Program and the Paid Internship Program. The Education and Training Manager is a senior member of the Carriageworks team and is responsible for leading the delivery of this major strategic initiative.
