Our partner is a UK based charity who operate throughout Africa with the vision of creating a world where education is universal and allows children to blossom to their fullest potential.

The organisation have built thirty schools in Africa with the intention of creating a sustainable network for the education system. They have a number of projects across Uganda for which they are seeking the support of a pro bono accountant.

Project 1
On this project you will provide support with balance sheet reconciliation and help set up new Quickbooks cloud accounting system. You will also set up a finance manual to guide and document financial processes and controls.

Projects 2 & 3
On this assignment you will be based in the organisations regional offices which currently use a manual system. You will assist Regional Finance Officers to reconcile all accounts in that region so that they report to the Head Office within 4 days of month end. In the next year, the regional offices will be moving to use Quickbooks, you will mentor and coach the School Bursars with the move to new systems.

Project 4
You will help set up a new Quickbooks cloud to consolidate the regional schools accounting, this will involve budgets, ledgers, reports, fund accounting etc. You will train and mentor regional finance staff in the use of the new system and set up a Finance Manual / guide for Quickbooks.

For all projects, the partner will cover the cost of flights, visa, accommodation, and provide a stipend of £600 / month.
