The role
Your focus will be to identify and cultivate new philanthropic opportunities for potential major contributors, and to steward one of the organisation’s largest existing portfolios of loyal donors. Your responsibilities will include:
- conducting face-to-face donor meetings with existing donors and new prospects;
- achieving financial and non-financial targets and KPI’s;
- developing and hosting donor events for the purpose of acquisition and growth;
- maintaining detailed records of all donor activities;
- engaging and strengthening relationships with donors through positive and purposeful relationship management; and
- network and strategic relationship development.
Experience and skills required
A positive, entrepreneurial and proactive individual, you have significant experience in major donor fundraising and/or sales/relationship management experience gained in NFP or commercial environments. With a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets you also possess:
- exceptional networking and entrepreneurial ability;
- negotiating and influencing skills;
- relationship management skills;
- the demonstrated capacity to gather market intelligence from diverse sources and convert it to a business benefit; and
- excellent report and proposal writing skills .
