CatholicCare in the Diocese of Wollongong is experiencing significant growth and expansion of Aged and Disability service provision. Building on the outstanding success of our established reputation in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven regions, we are offering an exciting career opportunity for a dynamic Disability Advocate to make a difference in the lives of the people we serve in the Macarthur district. This position is based in Macarthur but will work across the Diocese.

Your role
The role of the Disability Advocate is to support people living with disability and their families and carers within the community of the Diocese of Wollongong. This includes the responsibilities for development and delivery of a framework for inclusion, advocacy in relation to service system and policy inequalities, assistance with navigating the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), liaising with parishes and the broader community and representing Catholic Care and the Diocese in the disability sector.
