Creative Partnerships Australia works to foster a culture of private giving to the arts. It does this through a range of programs and services designed to develop the skills and knowledge of the arts sector, as well as working with artists and arts organisations, businesses and philanthropists to foster partnership, mentoring and investment opportunities.

The Partnerships and Events Manager will work across both Marketing and Programs and is responsible for implementing our strategy related to:

• Advocacy, including the annual Awards
• Building the capacity of the arts sector, via skills development
• Providing expertise and thought leaderships through our partnering activities.

The objectives of the position are:
• To project manage the development and implementation of events (including workshops, masterclasses, the Awards and partnered events) that are clearly and consistently designed to achieve Creative Partnerships’ strategic goals.
• To identify and develop event partnership opportunities, aiming to extend Creative Partnerships’ reach and impact across the arts, philanthropic and business communities.
• To manage the duties of the position efficiently; being accountable for budgets, business planning and managing workflows in conjunction with other staff.

The key duties of the position are:
• Drive Creative Partnerships’ events to deliver high impact, results focused activities to support the realisation of our objectives
• Work collaboratively with partners to ensure Creative Partnerships’ strategic priorities are achieved; monitoring partnership agreements, reports and evaluations
• Work closely with the programs and marketing teams, including provision of timely progress reports against milestones
• Oversee and manage relationships with suppliers and contractors ensuring contract terms are delivered to specifications and budget
• Oversee and monitor event budgets, schedules, design, travel, technical production, catering and any other service provisions
• Manage all administrative aspects of event delivery including ticketing, guest lists, nominations processes and data base management
• Liaise and ensure clear and effective communications at all times with stakeholders specifically with respect to the Awards VIPs, award winners and nominees, the Board and other parties
• Work closely with the Marketing & Communications team regarding all event marketing collateral, media activity and online content; providing support to the Marketing and Communications team as required
• Manage other staff as required.

Experience and skills required
• Demonstrated leadership experience and success in delivering high quality events with a stakeholder focus, most likely in a membership organisation, association, government, not-for-profit or social enterprise context
• Demonstrated experience in cultivating relationships and working with partners to create mutual value
• Experience working with online ticketing and registration and nominations systems, data bases and content management systems
• Highly developed oral and written communications skills
• Positive attitude to working in a small team and an outcomes focused approach
• The ability and drive to take initiative, think creatively and adapt to change
• A solid understanding of, and enthusiasm for, the arts and artists
• A relevant tertiary qualification.
