Our Mission / Objective

Our vision at Beyond Blue is for “all people in Australia achieve their best possible mental health”, with our mission “we work with the community to improve mental health and prevent suicide.”

Our values — Collaboration, Respect, Enthusiasm, Excellence, Innovation and Integrity — reflect who we are, guiding us to always put community first.

Our Services

Through our Strategic Plan (2020-2023), we are working towards three key areas of focus:

  1. Promoting mental health and wellbeing

Beyond Blue supports the places where we live, learn, work and play to tackle stigma and discrimination and champion mental health and wellbeing. This is so people have greater knowledge, feel safe to talk openly about their issues, and are supported to ask for help when they need to.

  1. Being a trusted source of information, advice and support

Beyond Blue provides practical and evidence-based information, advice and support so we can all better understand how to maintain our mental health and take steps to recover from mental health conditions.

  1. Working together to prevent suicide

Beyond Blue plays a leading role in the national effort to prevent suicide through research, information, advice, support, innovation and advocacy.

Our Beneficiaries

Community is at the heart of everything we do and we have a deep commitment to actively listen to, understand, partner with and respond to community experience and needs.

Our support services, programs and initiatives are everyone. No matter who you are, what your background or community is, Beyond Blue is here for you. We work across all states and territories, including in regional, rural and remote areas.

We envisage an Australia where communities work together to create non-stigmatising, respectful and supportive spaces that support good mental health.

To enable this, we provide communities with evidence-based products and services to support the development of mentally healthy communities and through events and speakers to inspire and motivate others.

We also leverage current and emerging technologies to provide the community with easy-to-access information and tools, developed in partnership with the community, sector.
