Our Mission / Objective

Blind Eye Ministries is a grass-roots Catholic ministry devoted to journeying with the most vulnerable in our society.  We achieve this one person at a time.  Our current areas of focus are; Homeless, Indigenous and Pro-life issues.

Our Services

Blind Eye Centre

The Blind Eye Centre is a daytime sanctuary for the most vulnerable in our city.  This centre in based on Christian values and behaviour with each individual being treated with dignity and respect.  

The Centre consists of regular actives, basic facilities and services to assist those with a variety of needs.  Through the centre, we desire to not only meet the material needs, but the fullness of the individual, mind, body and soul.

Address: 19 Merivale St, South Brisbane

The BEM Centre is open:

  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday:  9:30am – 3:30pm
  • Saturday:  9:00am – 12:00pm

 

The Centre consists of:

  • shower, washing and drying facilities, toilets,
  • clothing racks,
  • coffee & tea bar, lunch (12pm daily),
  • pool table, ping pong table,
  • prayer space,
  • computer, phone calls,
  • meaningful conversations and more…

 

The Centre runs on a volunteer basis and is privately funded.  If you would like to support us in anyway, we would love to hear from you.
