How to help us

Other support

You can help make a difference in the Greater Melbourne community by supporting Lord Mayor’s Charitable in the following ways:

  • Make a general donation to the Foundation: Your donation will help ensure that charities can continue their vital work in the areas of Education & Employment, Healthy & Cohesive Communities, Homelessness & Affordable Housing, and Sustainable Melbourne.

  • Establish a Charitable Fund Account: A Charitable Fund Account enables you to structure your charitable giving for maximum social impact, from as little as $2,000. The account’s annual granting allocation provides opportunity to recommend select charities or one of the Foundation’s Impact Areas as grant recipients, depending on the balance of the account. Established in perpetuity, a charitable fund account can positively affect the community beyond your lifetime.

  • Leave a gift in your Will:
Including a gift to Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation in your Will ensures that you leave a lasting legacy for future generations. Established in 1923, the Foundation has a long, proud history of responding effectively to the changing needs of the community. We welcome the opportunity to discuss how we can honour your philanthropic intentions.

Additionally, the Foundation can also provide philanthropic advice to assist solicitors and financial planners in:

  • Tax-deductible planned giving
  • Creating a legacy for the future, for clients and their children
  • Demonstrating a strong knowledge of the charitable sector in Australia including individual charities.
