Our Mission / Objective


The Southern Youth and Family Services Association Incorporated ("SYFS") has the principal purpose of relieving the poverty, misfortune and distress of young people and their families, who are disadvantaged, homeless or at risk of homelessness. The Association will act to increasee (remove extra e) access for young people and families to: a) Secure, affordable and individual housing; b) Employment, education and training; c) Secure and adequate income; d) Appropriate support services; e) Clothing, food and other practical assistance; and f) Adequate health care.


Projects in Progress


The Association will act to increase access for young people and families to:




  • secure, affordable and individual accommodation and housing and support;


  • employment, education and training;


  • secure and adequate income;


  • appropriate support services;


  • clothing, food and other practical assistance; and


  • adequate health care.



The Association has many service programs that directly deliver services specific to the aims above. These services can be viewed and access on our website www.syfs.org.au
