Women Donors Network Announces New Directors

Three new Directors have joined the Australian Women Donors Network Board alongside continuing Patron-In-Chief, and former Governor-General, Quentin Bryce.

The new Directors are: venture capitalist and philanthropist Deanne Weir, social entrepreneur Jane Martino, and marketing and research specialist Tiziana Pittui.
The Australian Women Donors Network, established in 2009, is an advocacy and education organisation that catalyses philanthropic investment in women and girls.
“The Australian Women Donors Network continues to inform, inspire and enable giving to women and girls, including by fostering the growth of giving circles, an emerging trend in collective giving particularly popular among women donors,” Chair and Co-Founder Eve Mahlab AO said.
"I am very excited to welcome Deanne Weir, Jane Martino and Tiziana Pittui to the Board; their strong skills in business, philanthropy and entrepreneurship will add great value to the Network’s Board and our organisation as a whole.”
Weir is a Director of the International Women’s Development Agency Board and recently joined the US-based donor group Women Moving Millions.
Martino is the creator of the innovative micro-donation platform Shout, and the force behind the free, Not for Profit meditation App ‘Smiling Mind’.
And Pittui is a Trust Member for the Queen Victoria Women’s Centre and the Tobin Brothers Foundation, and is now an advisor to the soon-to-be-launched Melbourne giving circle for women.
“These women are leading philanthropreneurs. Each of them is passionate about the power of investment in women and girls to strengthen and transform society globally and locally, and are firmly committed to advancing the aims of the Australian Women Donors Network,” Mahlab said.
The Australian Women Donors Network is currently developing a ground-breaking set of tools, resources and training, to support the integration of a gender lens across philanthropy.
“I look forward to working with these women, who will help drive these initiatives and shape the future strategic direction of the Network,” Mahlab said.
