Grants For Hosting Events and Activities With Victorian Children

Not for profits working with children are eligible to apply for funding to help support activities and programs run during this year’s Children’s Week.

Grants ranging from $500 to $2,000 can be used for costs associated with running an event or activity during the week of 21 to 29 October.

The grants can go towards guest speakers, entertainment, performing arts and administrative costs.

Eligible activities must be free for Victorian families with children aged 0 to 12, or to early childhood services and schools.

Minister for Families and Children Jenny Mikakos said Children’s Week was a celebration of Victorian children and a way to recognise their talents, skills and achievements.

“We want to make Children’s Week 2017 one to remember, which is why we’re helping local councils and organisations host free activities,” Mikakos said.

Applications are open until 21 July.
