Sage Foundation’s Enterprise Funding Round Opens

Global cloud business management company, Sage has launched the second round of funding from Sage Foundation’s Enterprise Fund for Australian not-for-profit organisations.
The fund supports the creation of either new or piloted entrepreneurial programs to help improve the lives of either military veterans, young people or women and girls in Sage’s local communities.
“Sage Foundation’s Enterprise Fund has been designed to support small not-for-profit organisations with exceptional ideas on the brink of delivering change, take a bold step forward when they are unable to make their idea a reality,” Sage Foundation’s regional manager for Australia, Asia and Brazil, Rebecca Harris said.
“After awarding $500,000, through over 30 grants, across 15 Sage countries earlier in 2017, the next wave of $500,000 will be open until 6 December; a limited number of grants between $10,000 – $25,000 will then be awarded to successful applicants.
“Sage Foundation is committed to helping small, frontline organisations, therefore the fund is only open to organisations with an income that is less than $2 million USD (A$2.6 million), and projects or initiatives have been operational for two years or less.
“Sage Foundation is especially keen to support organisations that have ambitions to expand, grow and deliver sustainable change. It is also hoped that the fund will support traditionally hard to fundraise needs such as, capital projects and core running costs.”
Harris said that since January 2016, Sage Foundation had been taking action to build sustainable social, economic and entrepreneurial opportunities in Sage’s local communities around the world.
“By investing and supporting not-for-profit partners that are helping people reach their true potential, Sage are committed to doing business the right way,” she said.
The foundation said it was looking for:
- enterprising and entrepreneurial ideas to help improve the lives of either: military veterans, young people or women and girls in Sage’s local communities around the world;
- projects or pilots that support the creation of either new or piloted entrepreneurial programs or initiatives, that have been operational for two years or less; and
- projects that help small, frontline organisations.
A limited number of grants between $10,000 – $25,000 will be awarded from the $500,000 fund.
The closing date is 6 December 2017.
