Seek Launches "Volunteering Unplugged"

To coincide with National Volunteering Week (11th – 17th May) online job site SEEK will be creating Volunteering Unplugged – a collection of stories it says will help overcome the narrow perception people have of volunteers and volunteering.

SEEK says perceptions of the housewife working in the Op Shop or father sitting on a charity board don’t necessarily match the modern volunteer experience. The objective of the website is to share stories from enthusiastic volunteers to unplug myths associated with volunteering.

Seek are looking for volunteer stories to profile on the website. To be included on Volunteering Unplugged or to find out more, contact Rick Govic rgovic@seek.com.au
