The Australian Centre for Corporate Responsibility (ACCSR) and Pro Bono Australia are jointly hosting a ‘Masterclass’ for Not for Profit organisations with an international expert on what CSR means to the Third Sector.

Paul Hohnen is well known in international NGO circles for his work as Political Director of Greenpeace International (1993-1997) and in setting up the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). Most recently, he was invited by a coalition of international advocacy organisations to draft an NGO Accountability Charter.

In this afternoon Masterclass, Hohnen will explore opportunities for increasing NFP leverage with the government and business sectors and discuss accountability issues facing the advocacy community.

Title: CSR Masterclass for NGOs: What CSR means for NGOs and how NGOs can benefit strategically
Date: Tuesday 30th October
Time:1.45pm-5.30pm
Place: Melbourne

ACCSR Managing Director, Dr Leeora Black says the Masterclass offers NFPs the chance to consider what CSR means to them, what are the trends in NGO accountability and how NGOs can implement CSR in their organisations
