22 December 2004 at 12:12 pm

Australia’s Inaugural Corporate Social Responsibility Summit will take place in NSW in March 2005 and Not for Profits are offered special rates.

The theme of the three-day summit is “how and why corporate social responsibility delivers improved business performance”.

The venue is the Peppers Fairmont Resort, Blue Mountains 2 – 4 March, 2005.

Organisations using the global framework for CSR are today at the cutting edge of business. Not for Profits in Australia can be in on the ground floor when working in the corporate environment.

If fully integrated and embedded CSR delivers:

– Ease of recruitment and retention of highly skilled employees
– Enhanced reputations
– Improved share price
– Innovation and improved operational performances
– Supply chain advantages
– Brand differentiation
– A more sustainable business, community and environment
– Competitive advantage
– Cost savings and avoidance of costly litigation

Join 23 speakers including six international experts who will show how and why CSR is the new business driver for success. The guest speakers include David Grayson OBE, the Director of Business in the Community and described by the Financial Times as “one of the UK’s most respected voices on business responsibility”.

Current international thinking portrays CSR as an exciting business paradigm. FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 consultants and advisors, company directors, CEO’s and internationally recognised ‘change agents’ will demonstrate the business case for CSR through 3 days of workshops, exercises and case studies to give you an understanding of the tools and resources you will need to embed CSR into the DNA of your organisation.

Hear case studies and key learnings from:
The BBC, British Telecom, Interface Inc (as featured in the movie The Corporation), Gelita, Lend Lease, Westpac, National Australia Bank, Business in the Community (UK), Strategic Rail Authority (UK), BP, Global Effectiveness Group, Insurance Australia Group, Mission Australia, Dow Chemicals and many more.
