Job Futures is Australia’s only national network of community based Not-for-Profit employment and related service providers.
Combining national reach with the local expertise of its community-based member organisations, the Job Futures network is a significant provider of employment, training and support services across Australia.
Job Futures was established in 1997 by the Not-for-Profit community employment and training organisations from four States and the ACT. These organisations had extensive experience in assisting disadvantaged job seekers in their local regions.
They were determined to build a national capacity to continue delivering employment training services to their local communities in a rapidly changing service delivery environment.
Since then Job Futures membership has grown significantly, with strategic additions to membership giving it network coverage in every state and territory of Australia.
The Job Futures membership structure harnesses the local capacity of community organisations under the leadership of a large national organisation – providing national, regional and local solutions.
Member organisations retain their strong local identity and are distinguished by a proud history of delivering services in their communities. By joining Job Futures they gain a greater capacity by being part of a national network providing a range of services to grow and manage their business. Job seekers, employers and government benefit from this unique partnership.
The diversity of the membership, which features a number of specialist organisations, reflects our focus on helping those most disadvantaged in the community, including:
– Indigenous Australians
– people with a disability
– mature aged people
– young people
– parents returning to the workforce
– ex-offenders.
Operating from over 160 locations nationally, Job Futures services metropolitan, regional and remote communities. In the last 12 months it has assisted over 25,000 people to improve their lives through our employment, training and support services.
