Corporate Communicators Enhance Shareholder Value
20 March 2003 at 12:03 pm

Leading organisations recognise the powerful impact, both positive and negative, that corporate communications can have on the perceived and actual value of an organisation.

To be effective, organisations must convey the long-term sustainability of their operations through market analysis, quality of strategy, vision, leadership and corporate citizenship.

A two-day conference in Sydney in May 2003 will focus on Enhancing Shareholder Value through Corporate Communication and will explore how leading organisations have achieved credibility with their shareholders through proven corporate communication programs.

It will examine how to drive value from corporate communication frameworks and mechanisms for ensuring greater transparency, accountability and quality assurance in the delivery of services to shareholders.

Featuring 13 case studies plus interactive sessions you can maximise your learning outcomes by discovering how:

The award winning COLGATE-PALMOLIVE (USA) Investor Relations
program works in practice, how WESTPAC built a powerful internal brand across the bank by marrying the organisation’s DNA with business-specific
communication programs or how the INSURANCE AUSTRALIA GROUP has developed an innovative way for communicating its business to stakeholders and the community.

The international keynote address by Bina Thompson, Investor Relations with Colgate-Palmolive USA will provide a unique snap shot of that company’s IR programs.

In particular it will discuss aligning the IR team with the business strategy, effective internal and external communications, developing a campaign within the context of market perceptions and overcoming challenges posed by organisations outcomes beyond your control.

The conference has been developed for individuals involved with Corporate Communications, Corporate Citizenship, Investor Relations, Public Relations and Community Relations.

The conference is being organised by the International Quality and Productivity Centre. For more information and a registration form send us an e-mail to corpnews@probonoaustralia.com.au.
