“Turning Nonprofit Fantasies Into Cold, Hard Cash” is the title of a one-day seminar being conducted by internationally acclaimed consultant Dr. Richard Steckel in Melbourne and Sydney in coming weeks.

Visiting from the USA Steckel’s reputation as an expert on Not for Profit social enterprise and for-profit strategic corporate citizenship is highly regarded. His visit is being hosted by the Australian Kidney Foundation.

The Seminar will allow participants to learn from real life examples, research potential partners and determine the suitability to your organisation, and help conduct a customer segmentation matrix and design products for them.

Another key aspect of the seminar will be discussion on how to convince corporations that you are a worthy partner.

Dr. Steckel has a vast and impressive client list including Heinz (USA), Tesco (UK), British Telecom, National Crime Prevention Council (USA) and Westpac Trust Banking Corporation (AUS).

Since 1984 he has developed earned income strategies, products and services for over 200 Not for Profit and for-profit organisations. Before founding the consulting firm AddVenture Network, he was the Executive Director of the Denver Children’s Museum, where he introduced innovative ideas that made the Museum a national model of the earned income approach to fundraising.

The Melbourne Seminar is on Thursday 31st October at the Victoria University Conference Centre in Flinders Street and the Sydney Seminar on the 1st of November at the ANZ Theatre at the Australian National Maritime Museum.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the life saving work of the Australian Kidney Foundation. A Special rate of $200 applies for Not for Profit organisations and $250 is the corporate rate. (Perhaps your organisation could sponsor a Not for Profit to attend!)
