Grant Seekers Go Online

Perpetual Trustees’ venture into Australia’s first Online Grant Seeker Service has had an incredible response. Five hundred (500) of the total five hundred and fifty applications for first round grants this year were lodged online!

The total amount sought totalled 21 million dollars. Perpetual Trustees will distribute two million dollars to the successful applicants.

The National Manager of Charitable Planning Services for Perpetual Trustees, Jan Cochrane-Harry says the response was extremely positive with grant seekers taking on the new technology with enormous vigour.

She says a computer glitch in the first week was easily remedied with a ‘Save File’ function and the system ran very smoothly after that.

‘The online system means that grant seekers have to be much more disciplined in their applications and most caught on very quickly.’

Grant seekers can go back on line for the second round from July to September on: www.perpetual.com.au

The Myer Foundation is also planning to offer a similar service later this year.
