The Black Dog Institute – a Not for Profit centre set up to research depression and assist those who suffer from it – is asking people to help them research a new app.

The app – called myCompass – is a “newly developed internet and mobile phone based program, you can now learn to better manage your stress, worry and low mood,” according to the Black Dog Institute.

They are looking for people who are “stressed, low, or worried” to take part in a 13 week trial.

Participants can be based anywhere in Australia as long as they are aged over 18, have access to an internet connection and an internet-enabled phone.

After completing the program you must answer a short questionnaire but you’ll be in the draw to win vouchers up to $350 in value.

More importantly – for those feeling low – you get to track “positive changes in your mood over time.”
