Australian Not for Profits working to support disadvantaged youth are being offered the opportunity to partner with the charity founded by Charles, Prince of Wales.

The Prince’s Charities Australia has called for expressions of interest from organisations to assist with the rollout of a new suite of programs in partnership with Prince’s Trust International (PTI).

PTI’s Director of Programs and a program manager from the charity will visit Australia in March to meet with organisations interested in collaborating to deliver a pilot program in Australia this year.

The Prince’s Charities Australia said since 1976, these programs have assisted more than 825,000 young people across the UK to stay in school and pursue vocational opportunities.

“Now, PCA has the opportunity continue this work by delivering a localised program, tailored to the Australian market,” the charity said.

Targeted at young people between the ages of 13 and 25, the programs will complement the Australian school curriculum and cover a range of topics including work preparation and employability, enterprise projects, personal development, community engagement and active citizenship, and pathways to education.

Pending a successful Australian pilot, The Prince’s Charities Australia says it plans to support the rollout of the programs nationally.

Interested organisations with expertise in working with disadvantaged youth and education are invited to submit an expression of interest to meet with PTI staff during their visit, and to find out more about the programs and how they can collaborate with PTI in Australia.

Expressions of interest should be submitted to The Prince’s Charities Australia by Friday 19 February via email at aaronm@princescharitiesaustralia.org.au.
