With the new census figures revealing a dramatic increase in the number of people experiencing homelessness across Australia it is a critical time to revive this national event after a four year hiatus.
The two-day program has over 40 leading speakers confirmed and explores best practice responses to homelessness, permanent and supported outreach housing strategies, listening to lived experience and social investment solutions. International speakers include Professor Nicholas Pleace (UK), Juha Kaakinen (Finland) and Professor Marah Curtis (USA).
The Conference is essential for all working in the sector and provides important opportunities for delegates from across the country to debate and collaborate towards ending homelessness together.
Convened by Homelessness Australia and AHURI, the National Homelessness Conference runs 6 and 7 August 2018 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
