Financial Review Magazine Awards 2001

Now in their fifth year the Australian Financial Review magazine’s National Sponsorship Awards are on again. Their aim is to highlight the partnerships that are increasingly important to sponsors, companies, organisations, athletes, artists and other individuals they support.

The AFR Magazine’s editor, Brook Turner, says this year awards could not have come at a more opportune moment.

Turner says there is little doubt that sponsorship has come of age in Australia in the past 12 months, pointing to the Sydney Olympics as an object lesson in the potential benefits and pitfalls of sponsorship.

She says successful sponsorships received unprecedented media coverage, highlighting the huge potential rewards to both sides from properly considered and structured partnerships.

Entries close on Friday April 27 and can be made either by written submission or electronically via the AFR’s web site at www.afr.com/sponsorawards.
