Crowdfunder Christmas Rush

Social entrepreneurs and Not for Profits who reach their fundraising goals the quickest on the Australian Not for Profit crowdfunding platform Chuffed will share in $5000 prize money as part of a Christmas campaign.
The campaign in partnership with the School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) Australia, includes $5000 in prizes for 10 social entrepreneurs and Not for Profits who run the “fastest” crowdfunding campaigns on Chuffed.org before Christmas Eve.
The first eight campaigns to raise $5000 will win $250; the first campaign to raise $10,000 wins $1,000; and the first campaign to raise $20,000 wins $2,000.
“We think this is a great opportunity for social enterprises and Not for Profits who are thinking about running a crowdfunding campaign this Christmas to give it a go and to get a little bit extra from their campaign,” Chuffed.org CEO Prashan Paramanathan said.
“The fastest crowdfunders can earn up to an extra $2000, and thanks to the generous support of our Founding Partner, the Telstra Foundation, Chuffed is completely fee-free, so crowdfunders can keep 100 per cent of what they raise.”
Paramanathan said as one of the leading national providers of learning programs for Australia’s social entrepreneurs, SSE Australia was the perfect fit for a campaign that supports social entrepreneurs to raise funds and grow their ventures.
“We’re thrilled to have SSE Australia work with us on this,” he said. “With a Fellowship of 250 social entrepreneurs, they understand better than most how far social entrepreneurs can take an extra $2000.
“We know how much amazing work social enterprises and Not for Profits do in Australia throughout the year and we want to reward them this Christmas.
“This is our way of saying thanks for supporting us and for supporting our community.”
