Media organisations across the globe are turning to subscribers to help them grow and continue to be viable businesses. So now, we’re asking for your support too.

Hello dear readers.

If you have been reading Pro Bono News for even a little while you’ll know that the subjects we deal with are different to the news you read anywhere else.

The stories we write inform you in your work lives, and inspire you in your personal lives. We write news that tells the stories of Australia’s community and gives invaluable insight into how best to activate talent, time, treasure and networks to act for the common good. For those who work in the not-for-profit sector we are essential reading.

You will have read that media organisations across the globe are turning to subscribers to help them grow and continue to be financially viable by becoming paid supporters. Now, we’re asking for your support too.

For the past 22 years Pro Bono News has been delivering news free to you every day. Now we need your help.

Pro Bono Australia has been unique over two decades in our focus to grow the social economy. Without question we have been key in supporting the emergence of its parts: social enterprise, philanthropy, not for profits, CSR, volunteering and impact investing. We have successfully been an “activist” media organisation and given a voice to the emergence of many movements and many unheard points of view over decades. Many times we have delivered research based on reader feedback that has given an evidence base for Government policy and helped shape the future of our sector. We have made an enormous difference.

I founded Pro Bono Australia with the vision of becoming a hub for the purpose-driven community and growing the social economy. We have done that. We serve 2 million readers a year, and 67,000 people rely on our news services. We believe it’s in the community’s interest to keep our news independent, and free.

Supporting us financially will keep our quality, trusted news open to everyone who needs it, and in return we’ll thank you with exclusive briefings, white papers and networking unique to our supporters.

Your support is vital to our future.
