The past 12 months has seen the largest movement in salaries that we have seen during the 11 years of producing this salary survey.
It’s absolutely vital to stay ahead of the curve on salaries, so you can attract and retain the right staff.
How can you respond to this transformed environment?
One way to know what you need to do is to know how much you should be paying your staff.
The 2023 Pro Bono Australia Salary Survey delivers you this information.
The Pro Bono Australia Salary Survey stands alone as Australia’s largest remuneration report curated specifically for the social sector. It contains in-depth analysis of roles, wages and trends across the sector, allowing managers to accurately benchmark salaries and related issues.
And with 32 per cent of respondents to this year’s survey indicating they “sometimes” consider leaving their role to work somewhere else, it has never been more important to know how your organisation compares on salaries.
“The changes in salaries have been so marked over the last year that it’s imperative all employers in our sector be across them to be competitive,” said Karen Mahlab AM, Founder of Pro Bono Australia.
“Being unaware of the salaries other organisations are offering for similar roles could lead to unexpectedly losing some of your most valued staff.”
Sector leaders also vouch for the importance of Pro Bono Australia’s Salary Survey.
David Meere, National manager of talent and attraction at Life Without Barriers, told a Pro Bono Australia webinar last month that understanding what the market is offering ensures organisations can remain competitive, both with current and prospective staff.
Director at NGO Recruitment Richard Green agreed, and said a salary survey like Pro Bono’s provides a vital “cross-section” for recruiters, allowing them to go to market with confidence and an understanding of what prospective staff will be looking for and attract more of the right people to the role.
“You need to go into any process with a range in mind so you attract a range of people,” he told the webinar.
The 2023 salary information is shown in quartiles: 25%, 50%, 75% so you can easily see where your organisation sits on the pay scale.
