A new report from the Poverty and Inequality Partnership led by ACOSS and UNSW Sydney has found that while the Coronavirus supplement introduced in 2020 gave recipients the breathing space to afford basics such as food and medication, its removal had a pernicious effect that hit hard. Australian experiences of poverty: risk precarity & uncertainty during COVID-19 found the extra $275 a week from April 2020 was critically important to improving wellbeing during the pandemic. Click here to read report findings.

QCOSS‘ final Research and Evaluation Network webinar for 2022 will explore elements of data governance in the community services sector. On Tuesday, 13 December from 10:00am to 11:30am (AEST), hear from sector guest speakers on how they navigate issues around client consent, privacy and confidentiality, data sharing agreements and governance of data projects.
