A major company in the family entertainment business is looking for a Not for Profit to form a three year partnership working with disadvantaged children worth $450 000 in total financial support.

A major company in the family entertainment business is looking for a Not for Profit to form a three year partnership working with disadvantaged children worth $450 000 in total financial support.

The $150,000 cash per annum partnership is expected to include an opportunity for significant exposure across media platforms including TV (reaching 2 million households), online, cinema (over 5million people reached) and in-home (over 6million people reached).

The founder of corporate-cause consulting firm Cavill and Co, Hailey Cavill says her client is looking to invest with a charity partner and promote its cause to millions of households across Australia.

“The company is seeking a charity that is working to address ‘life skills’ for disadvantaged children in Australia,” she said.

The prospective Not for Profit must:

  • Be a registered national (or nationally-accessed internet based) organisation working within Australia with DGR status
  • Be willing to be publicly aligned with a family entertainment company
  • Be a registered Not for Profit organisation working to address the development of life skills for disadvantaged children
  • It is important that the development of life skills for disadvantaged children is core to the organisation’s purpose and not a small offshoot program/service
  • Predominantly serve children, aged 0 – 12, both boys and girls
  • Demonstrate alignment with at least three of the client’s values: Innovation, Storytelling, Optimism, Family, Unlimited Creativity, Magic, Fun
  • Have some meaningful, varied volunteering opportunities for its client’s staff in Sydney and Melbourne (media-savvy professionals with core skills in creative, marketing, sales and finance)
  • Be able to evaluate and measure what the organisation does to show credible, tangible, practical results/outcomes

Cavill says that her client is particularly keen to hear from children’s charities that are using innovative technology to benefit disadvantaged children.

The prospective NFP must NOT:

  • Be a government entity (although if it is independent and has less than 80% government funding that is acceptable)
  • Provide services exclusively for one gender eg. exclusively for girls or exclusively for boys
  • Be overtly religious or elitist
  • Be a fundraising appeal, a medical research institute or a hospital
  • Be a charity that has a disease in its brand or organisational name

The corporate says they will not invest in:

  • A program that benefits people outside of Australia
  • Capital funds, building works, individual's' salary or a fundraising campaign (educational campaign is acceptable)
  • A charity that has more than two other partners or sponsors in the media &/or family entertainment area, publicly aligned
  • A charity, cause or Not for Profit that was founded less than two years ago
