Bequest Fundraising Network

A New Zealand fundraiser is the driving force behind a new network aimed at keeping Australasian bequest fundraisers in the loop.

The Australasian Bequest Fundraiser Network is the brainchild of Carol Painter who says she got the idea for a mailing list network during discussions with colleagues at the FIA Conference in Brisbane and then the FINZ Conference.

Painter is the Development Manager of Planned Giving with the University of Auckland.

Essentially Painter says the mailing list is intended for information sharing and discussion purposes. The list is closed with hidden identities.

She says the membership is made up of individuals involved in bequest fundraising who are currently working in Not for Profits in New Zealand and Australia as well as consultants who offer bequest training.

Painter says she hopes the mailing list will be a useful forum for fundraisers and that the way in which it has been set up will make an efficient communication tool for everyone.

Anyone who is interested in joining the network can contact c.painter@auckland.ac.nz .

Please provide your name, job details, organisation, phone and email contact details.
