Looking for a skilled volunteer? A reminder

In September 2001, we were delighted to announce the launch of the ICAA – Pro Bono Australia initiative, Volunteer Match – a website linking skilled professional accountants with Not for Profit organisations needing volunteer assistance.

Over the 18 months it has been in existence, the website has undergone a few modifications to make it even more easy-to-use and effective.

We introduced an automated e-mail function advising volunteers when an organisation has posted a volunteer role that may suit them. We also made the registration process more streamlined for both volunteers and organisations.

The success of the site is hugely encouraging – since the start of this year alone, 145 volunteers have applied for various volunteer positions with organisations around the country.

However, there are STILL over 500 volunteers registered and looking for suitable opportunities. Do you have a need for accounting assistance or advice from these skilled volunteers?

Take part in the free program by registering your needs on the site www.volunteermatch.com.au

We are hoping to announce some new site partners in the coming months, so stay tuned!
