The Federal Government has announced funding for the Volunteer Small Equipment Grants 2004 to help Australia’s volunteers to carry on with their vital work… but the deadline for applications is fast approaching!

The grants will provide up to $5,000 to help organisations purchase small equipment in the direct support of volunteers whose work contributes to benefiting families and communities.

The closing date for applications is 5 March 2004 and note that applications received after this date will not be accepted.

All inquiries should be directed to the Volunteer Small Equipment Grants 2004 Hotline 1800 050 199. For those organisations with special needs (disabilities) the following TTY number is provided: 1800 055 001.

Organisations may apply for a grant of up to $5,000. However applications for smaller grants will have a greater chance at success, and preference will be given to those organisations that did not receive a Volunteer Small Equipment Grant 2003.
