Melbourne Cares has announced nominations for its ‘Big Heart’ Awards including the Partnership of the Year Award.

The new awards aim to recognise outstanding commitment as well as the impact made to the community through volunteering by an individual or in a team within the Melbourne Cares network.

The Melbourne Cares 2007 ‘Big Heart’ Awards will reward outstanding achievers in the following categories.

‘Big Heart’ Partnership of the year Award – For the partnership that has shown that together through Melbourne Cares they can make a difference. This award seeks to recognise the collaborative relationship – the commitment made, and the impact made in the community.

‘Big Heart’ Individual Achiever Award – For individuals (in a supporter, community or school capacity) lending a hand through Melbourne Cares in any capacity. This award seeks to recognise individual commitment and contribution made to the community.

‘Big Heart’ Team of the year Award – For the team (in a supporter, community or school capacity) that has shown that together through Melbourne Cares they can make a difference. This award seeks to recognise the whole team – the commitment it made, and the team skills they developed whilst making an impact in the community.

Nominees will be judged on:
– Commitment
– Impact made in the community
– Enhanced development (both personally and as an organisation)

Anyone who is employed or engaged with a Melbourne Cares supporter or
