The 2007 Fundraising Summit - Advertorial
16 July 2007 at 4:39 pm

If you want to raise more funds, enhance your organisation’s position in the Not for Profit marketplace, and be at the forefront of the latest fundraising thinking and practice, The 2007 Fundraising Summit (www.fundraisingsummit.com.au) is a "must attend" event on the professional development calendar.

The Summit will address two themes only, thus ensuring deep analysis and insight into two of today’s rapidly evolving and crucial areas of fundraising and marketing practice.

1. Online Marketing and Fundraising
The online medium remains relatively new and continues to be an area where much testing is being done by a variety of Not for Profits. A few organisations are making great gains in this area, for many others online marketing and fundraising remains something of a mystery.

2. Donor Acquisition
Whether you are looking to increase fundraising income to meet expanded program needs or simply to replace donors that have fallen away through natural attrition, the issue of donor acquisition remains as critical today as it ever was.

The Fundraising Summit is where the rubber hits the road and theory meets practice. Case studies on some of the most innovative and unique campaigns to be rolled out in the last 12 months will be a major highlight of the event. And all in an Australian context.

Presenters include some of Australia’s leading fundraising and marketing practitioners including:

Peter Bray – Managing Director, Clear Blue Day
Amel Bendeddouche – Donor Development Manager, Seeing Eye Dogs Australia
David Armstrong – Fundraising Manager, Amnesty International
Kim Berry – Donor Development Manager, Oxfam Australia
Bernie Maguire – Database Manager, Oxfam Australia
John Burns – Fundraising Manager, Médecins Sans Frontières
Victoria Tordy – Marketing and Communications, World Vision Australia
Sarah Lawson – National Donor Relations Manager, Heart Foundation
Luke Edwards – Fundraising Project Manager, MS Society
Jeff Nagle – Chief Operating Officer, Compassion Australia

Last year’s summit proved extremely valuable for attendees, and the 2007 program promises to be just as rewarding.

"A lot of excellent information was shared … which helped in two key ways: it enabled comparisons with the way we are doing things and the results we are getting; and secondly on a skills level we learned a few new things which we were able to apply and implement immediately," said Zoe Mason – Donor Relations Manager, Wesley Mission, who attended the 2006 Fundraising Summit.
