New AbaF CEO

Jane Haley has been appointed CEO of the Australia Business Arts Foundation (AbaF).
Terry Campbell, chairman of AbaF has welcomed the appointment saying Haley’s combination of skills and experience together with her performance in her interim capacity of CEO sees her well qualified to take on this role.
Haley joined AbaF in 2003 as Director Program Development and has held the role of Acting CEO since February 2007.
Campbell says Haley brings to the role a strong and relevant understanding of both the business and arts communities, having held significant roles in arts and government.
Jane Haley grew up in Launceston and St Helens and completed a degree at the University of Tasmania. She literally ran away to join the theatre after a performance by the Salamanca Theatre Company taught 300 kids in her school the concept of photosynthesis in three minutes flat!
Haley has previously worked in a variety of arts management roles, including General Manager of the Queensland Theatre Company and Sidetrack Theatre and Executive Director of Arts Access Victoria. She has been General Manager of the Arts Council ACT and held policy advisory roles in Arts Queensland and as a Senior Advisor to the Minister of Planning, Women’s Affairs and Arts in Victoria.
