Swinburne University’s Asia Pacific Centre for Philanthropy and Social Investment and DVANavion present the 2008 Fundraising Workshop Series for Board Members, CEOs and Senior Executives in the Non-Profit Sector.

The first workshop in the series, Contemporary Fundraising: Opportunities and Challenges will be held on Tuesday 27 May 2008. It features international guest speaker Ross Marsh from Canada.

Mr Marsh is president of Ross W. Marsh & Associates Inc, a Canadian consulting firm that works closely with clients in Western Canada and Ontario to help them achieve their fundraising, sponsorship and non-profit management goals. His work has been recognised with numerous awards and accolades from industry groups, fundraising professionals and others.

Key themes for the workshop will be:
– The complexities associated with measuring and evaluating your organisation’s existing fundraising activities and staff.
– The development of fundraising strategies and methods that are right for your organisation.
– Effective reporting of your fundraising outcomes to your Board.

Panellists for the workshop will be Andrew Blode (CEO, Jack and Robert Smorgon Families Foundation), Ian Clark (CEO, Tennis Victoria), Alyson Miller (Manager Business Development and Partnerships, Melbourne Citymission).
