Volunteering Victoria Seeks Views on the Equal Opportunity Act
8 September 2011 at 1:48 pm

Volunteering Victoria is running an online survey to try to gauge the impact among local community organisations of the recent changes to the Victorian Equal Opportunity Act.

Victoria’s new sexual harassment laws have been up and running since 1 August.

Earlier this year Volunteering Victoria conducted an extensive campaign to help volunteer-involving organisations meet their new responsibilities under the Equal Opportunity Act.   Now the organisation wants to hear how the legislation changes have impacted on volunteering programs and practices.

Resources and Publications Manager, Jane Burrows says the feedback from the survey will inform Volunteering Victoria on how they can best support organisations on this and similar issues.
