Fundraisers Gather at Gold Coast for FIA Conference

The FIA Conference app is a one-stop-shop for delegates to keep up-to-date and network at this year's conference.

With the Fundraising Institute of Australia’s Dare to be Different conference kicking off today on the Gold Coast, the FIA has launched a smartphone and iPad app for the event.

Conference delegates will be able to create their own personal conference itinerary using the app, as well as access session times and information about the speakers, sponsors and exhibitors.

A key feature of the app is the Attendees page, where delegates can add a photo, their organisation name, contact details and other relevant information to their personal profile so that colleagues can find them easily – making networking at the conference easier than ever.

To add information to or edit your Attendee profile go to the app at www.eventmobi.com/conference12

  • Click on the 'Attendees' tab on the home page.
  • Click on 'Add/Edit your Profile' at the top of the Attendees page.
  • Enter your email address to gain access to edit your profile.
  • Enter any information you would like to include in the appropriate area on your profile page, including a photo.
  • Once you're finished, click 'Continue' at the bottom of the Attendees page to save your changes.

The app also features a social networking section with the latest feeds from Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, all together in a one-stop-shop for keeping up-to-date with the latest information from around the conference.

The FIA Dare to be Different conference is being held from Tuesday, February 28 to Friday, March 2 at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Conference Program can be found here (PDF).

Pro Bono Australia News will have a journalist reporting live on all three days of the conference. We will also be tweeting from the conference – you can keep up-to-date by following @ProBonoNews or by using the conference hashtag #FIAConf2012.
