The Australian Tax Office has updated its information on tax concessions for charities and how to apply for endorsement as a tax concession charity.
The ATO has released a new guide that explains the tax concessions available to endorsed charities and helps organisations work out if they are eligible for endorsement.
The guide includes detailed information about the endorsement process for tax concession charities.
The ATO says the guide explains the tax concessions available for endorsed charities.
The tax office has also upgraded the application form for organisations seeking endorsement to access charity tax concessions. Applicants can now type directly into the form and save the completed form to their computer.
It has also released a new version of frequently asked questions for tax concession charities. This includes information about common errors people make when completing the charity endorsement application form and reasons why we refuse applications.
The updated products also include a new worksheet to help endorsed charities review their entitlement to endorsement.
The worksheet, like the upgraded application form, allows organisations to type directly into the form and save the completed form to a computer.
