Call for NFP Applications to Deliver Digital Enterprise Program
17 April 2012 at 12:21 pm
The Federal Government has called for applications from eligible organisations to deliver Round Three of the Digital Enterprise program.
The Digital Enterprise program will provide $10 million in grant funding to help Not for Profit organisations and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) in 40 communities that benefit from the National Broadband Network (NBN) where work on the rollout has already commenced.
The Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, Senator Stephen Conroy, says the program will assist NFPs and SMEs to better understand how they can maximise the opportunities from greater digital engagement, enabled by the NBN.
The Senator says the program will provide training and advice to Not for Profit organisations to help them engage online by using the NBN to extend their reach into the community, expand their donor pool and achieve administrative efficiencies such as improved utilisation of their volunteers and members.
