Your organisation needs to be primed and ready to lift off in 2015. Now is a great time to revisit what is needed to make 2015 a great year. Below we outline four webinars from Westpac’s Davidson Institute that could help you soar this year.

1. Business planning for Not for Profit organisations

The process of business planning helps you to focus on your goals and how you are going to achieve them. More importantly it is a great communications tool. It helps internal stakeholders embrace the organisations vision and work as one team to a common goal and external stakeholders to clearly understand why they should work with your organisation.

This 40 minute webinar addresses: why a planning is important; the seven P’s of planning; and the Planning process.

2. Financial governance for Not for Profit organisations

As a board member and/or treasurer of a Not for Profit organisation you have legal and prudential responsibilities for proper financial management. Many people involved in the Not for Profit sector became involved due to their passion or belief in a particular cause rather than because they possessed the skills for the role they have undertaken.  From a financial view-point this can have significant ramifications for both the organisation and the individual.

This 47 minute webinar highlights why financial governance is important;  what records are needed to be kept; how to understanding the financial position of an organisation using financial statements and how to forecast and communicate the financial future of an organisation,

3. Seven steps to a more financially sustainable Not for Profit organisations

Looking to soar in 2015? There are many things you have to focus on to get your organisation to lift off. One of those is financial management. Not just to be compliant and acquit yourselves to funders. To really take off you need to know the story behind your numbers and focus on the right areas.
In this 43 minute webinar the Davidson Institute goes through seven key areas to focus on including: planning; financial management; cash flow; and managing costs.

4. Fundraising success through understanding breakeven analysis

The success of any fundraising event is not only about how many give, but in understanding the costs of the event. By using a tool called breakeven analysis, you can better understand the financial dynamics of your event and make better management decisions.

This 29 minute webinar will take you through a simple step by step process to calculate the breakeven position of your planned event and more importantly calculate the income necessary to achieve your planned fundraising target.

2015 is a time to give lift to your organisation. Be better prepared by visiting the Davidson Institute website and taking advantage of these recorded webinars.
