The week features free webinars, discussions and access to new tools and resources
Charities will be given the tools to understand the financial health of their organisations and get an update on the outlook for the sector as part of Not-for-Profit Finance Week 2020.
This event – from 3 to 7 August – is an initiative of Commonwealth Bank and Our Community and aims to increase the profile of the NFP sector, while also bolstering its financial capacity and sustainability.
It also focuses on providing support for the staff, board members and treasurers overseeing the finances of NFPs, with a series of webinars hosted by industry experts across the field.
Among the webinars taking place is a not-for-profit sector outlook with Susan Pascoe AM, David Crosbie and Denis Moriarty, and an economic update with CommBank chief economist Stephen Halmarick.
A new resource tool – The Not-for-Profit Balance Sheet – is also being launched to support community groups to understand the financial health of their NFP.
CommBank’s head of schools and not-for-profit banking, Julienne Price, said this event came amid an incredibly challenging time for the sector.
“It’s a week that focuses on virtually bringing people together – to share insights, ideas and knowhow – to help support those working so hard to support their local communities and those in need across Australia,” Price said.
