‘The opportunity is to really rethink the way finance can work’

To launch our Smarter Impact video series Philip Bateman sits down with Daniel Madhavan, to discuss elephants in the room, the most exciting thing Madhavan has worked on for a very long time and why he is “passionately hopeful but appropriately skeptical” about impact investing.

Madhavan is the CEO of Impact Investment Group and a longtime leader in Australia’s impact investing movement. He was the first CEO of Impact Investing Australia.

In this interview he talks to Bateman about the progress, challenges and opportunities in creating systemic change, the paradox of the impact finance industry, something new IIG has coming up and quite a bit more.
