“It is wonderful to have something to celebrate at the end of such a difficult year”

Australians have the chance to recognise those in the impact ecosystem making a difference with nominations now open for the 2021 Australian Impact Investment Awards.

These awards celebrate people and organisations for their expertise, commitment and outstanding activity in the impact investing sector.

Designed with similar criteria and categories to the Global Steering Group’s (GSG) impact awards, the awards are a collaboration between the Impact Investment Summit Asia Pacific and the Impact Investing Hub (which is managed by the Social Impact Hub).

Jessica Roth, the founder and director of the Social Impact Hub, said the awards were a great way to end a difficult, COVID-affected 2021.

“It is wonderful to have something to celebrate at the end of such a difficult year,” Roth said.

The awards celebrate leaders in a number of categories, including: Impact Asset Owner, Impact Asset Manager, and Impact Entrepreneur.

Alex Feher, the founder and CEO of Impact Investment Summit Asia Pacific, urged Australians to make a nomination.

“We strongly encourage everyone in the impact ecosystem to nominate organisations and people for an award as this just adds fuel to the growth in the movement for transformational change we would all like to see,” Feher said.

Nominations close 1 December.
