ATO Updates 'Giftpack' for DGRs

The Australian Tax Office has released a new version of its GiftPack for deductible gift recipients & donors .
GiftPack for deductible gift recipients & donors helps organisations understand what they need to do if they want to receive tax deductible gifts. It also helps donors who want to claim tax deductions for their gifts.
The new version incorporates changes in the tax law since the guide last issued in June 2005. The changes relate to:
– new general categories of deductible gift recipients (DGRs)
– new DGRs listed by name
– testamentary gifts of property, and
– contributions and gifts to political parties and independents.
