Big Breaks into Social Enterprise

People keen to get into the social enterprise space can have the chance to break into the sector with one of six paid internships offered by one of the most well-known social enterprises, the Thankyou Group.

For the first time, the Thankyou Group are offering paid internships in six different areas – Marketing and Communications, Events, Product Development, Creative Design, Sales, and Finance and Operations – for six months at full-time capacity.

According to Thankyou Group, the internships will offer interns six months of paid full-time work, hands-on experience in the social enterprise sector, training sessions conducted by the Thankyou Co-Founders and Executive Team, training sessions conducted by external industry leaders, and personal and professional development opportunities through internal workshops, supervision and mentoring.

"We've come across a lot of people who are interested in working in the social enterprise space but the reality is that the opportunities are often limited due to the fact that it's still a growing sector in Australia,” Thankyou Group Communications Manager Sarah Prescott said.

“At Thankyou, we're passionate about helping promote social enterprise while also inspiring the next generation to get involved and make a difference through their career choice.

"This internship is a great vehicle to help us do that, and we're really excited for the program to kick off in June."

Applications close on April 30 with internships starting on June 16 to conclude on December 12. The internships will be based in our Collingwood, Victoria.
