Variety Equipment Grants Open

Children’s support charity Variety is offering grants to Victorian Not for Profits and individuals to supply specialised equipment for children in need.
Variety works with individual families and organisations to deliver programs that support children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs.
Variety says grant applications can be made for equipment up to $5,000 for individuals and more for Not for Profits based on their application.
In 2012-13 Variety says it distributed more than $1.3 million in grants and programs.
“The Variety Freedom Program provides funding for mobility equipment like wheelchairs, walking frames and customised tricycles so children can get out and about,” Program and Grants Coordinator Priyanka Willis said.
Online application forms can be found here and the funding round closes on COB Friday, June 20.
