Outgoing Secretary of the Australian Labor Party Karl Bitar will join the Community Council for Australia as a Strategic Advisor, it has been announced.

Community Council for Australia CEO David Crosbie says CCA is delighted that Bitar has agreed to take on a six month appointment as a Strategic Advisor to CCA.

Crosbie says Bitar’s experience, knowledge and commitment to building stronger communities will certainly enhance CCA’s work

Karl Bitar is the outgoing Secretary of the Australian Labor Party and Crosbie says he has a long history of advocating for marginalised workers and communities across Australia.

Bitar says he thinks CCA is a very important organisation for the future of Australia – it is still in its first year of operation, but already it is making a difference.

Bitar says he believes he has a skill set that can contribute to its growth and to the achievement of its mission and it is a great opportunity to contribute to something he is committed to.

The Community Council for Australia is an independent, member-based organisation working to enhance the work of the Australian Not for Profit sector.
