‘Diversity, power, purpose’: Discover new ways of harnessing the power of volunteering
28 November 2019 at 7:30 am

The National Volunteering Conference 2020 is a not-to-be-missed biennial opportunity to reach out, connect and share ideas with your fellow not-for-profit leaders, managers of volunteers, policymakers, corporates and others.

Only by coming together can we continue to advance volunteering, embrace diversity and to build a responsive civic society that enhances our lives and our communities.

Australia’s principal volunteering conference – hosted by Volunteering Australia, the national peak body for volunteering, and supported in 2020 by Volunteering WA – isn’t just about listening and learning new skills, it’s an open forum for you to actively participate, to push your boundaries and discover new ways to harness the power of volunteering.

Together, we’ll challenge ourselves to leverage the diversity of our sector, to tackle the biggest challenges we face today and look ahead to the next big wave of innovative solutions.

This three-day feast of learning and inspiration will ultimately enable you and your organisation to go much further. To share purpose, shape the future of volunteering in Australia and contribute so much more to your community and society. To grow your ripple effect exponentially in 2020 and beyond.

The program features a variety of sessions and keynote speakers from the UK, all over Australia and New Zealand to suit all sectors of the industry including topics such as:

  • strategies on how to effectively recruit and retain volunteers;
  • the future of volunteer management; and
  • diversity and inclusion in the volunteering sector.

Engage and interact in informative panel discussions facilitated by industry experts, which focus on current issues in volunteering and get a chance to hear about and participate in one of three group-volunteering activities located at iconic Perth locations.

Why not extend your trip? Stay the weekend or head down to Margaret River to enjoy some of the world’s best wines and for your most Instagrammable moment ever, make the short hop across to Rottnest Island to meet the smiliest mini marsupials and snap a quokka selfie. Whatever your interest, Perth has a lot to offer during March and April! Extend your trip a little and enjoy all that is happening around town!
